0.6.7.5 - Reworked Militia


Reworked militia

We've reworked Militia to be a strictly defensive village improvement. It now adds attack damages, armour and ranged bonuses to villagers, but villagers must be within Village Center's vision radius to benefit from these.

To make it more visible that your units are acting as militia, we've added new animations for both male and female militia.

We've also added indicators that show which villagers are currently acting as militia, for extra clarity.


In the image above you can see that villagers acting as militia have new idle, run and attack animations.


Villagers outside the Village Center vision range lose their bonuses and will revert to default animations.

Improvements

  • Added new male and female militia animations (idle, run, attack)

  • 'Heavy Spearman' has been renamed to 'Spearman'

Balance changes

  • Militia now adds +1 melee and ranged damage, +1 armor, +4 attack range, +4 vision range to Villagers
  • Militia bonuses only applies while Villagers are within Village Center's vision range
  • Brute Strength adds +15 hitpoints and +2 attack damage to Heavy Axeman (from attacks ignoring all armored damage)
  • Villager and Javelinman now fire at garrisoned units
  • Units deal x2 siege damage to buildings in construction
  • Village Center has 32 vision range (from 16)
  • Scout costs 15 food and 5 wood (from 25 food and 5 wood)
  • Swordsman costs 45 food and 15 metal (from 35 food and 15 metal)

Bugs

  • Allies panel no longer overlaps elapsed time panel
  • Fixed issue with Light Axeman idle animation
